Email to SMS / TXT
Send SMS messages directly from email client
Sending SMS messages became as simple as sending emails with SMS4U Email to SMS Service... Simply specify recipients (mobile phone numbers) with messages (upto 160 characters includes space) and send an email to our messaging server (i.e. number@sms.sms4u.co.nz).
As soon as our messaging server receives email from you with correct format, our server will send bunch of SMS messages within seconds!
No external softwares or hardwares required other than your email client and internet connection!
How to send
So so simple - Email to 1 Cell Phone
Sending a TXT message can be as simple as sending an e-mail. In the To field of the email put the
CellPhoneNumber@sms.sms4u.co.nz
and then type in the TXT message into the email. Once sent, within a few minutes you will receive an e-mail back stating that the TXT message has been sent.
Sending broadcast SMS/TXT messages
Sending a TXT message to many cellphones is done by sending the e-mail to
broadcast@sms.sms4u.co.nz
In the subject line put a reference that is meaningfull to you
Type in the TXT message into the email
Then attached a comma separate file of cellphone numbers to send to.
The first line of the CSV file should have the word Mobile, the second line is the first cellphone to send to etc.
e.g.
Mobile
021 454545
0275 45478
Once sent, within a few minutes you will receive an e-mail back stating that the TXT message has been sent.
Sending personalised broadcast SMS/TXT messages
This is the same as above except where you can take data deom the CSV file and place it into the TXT message. Send the e-mail to
broadcast@sms.sms4u.co.nz

The first line of the CSV file should have the word Mobile, the second line is the first cellphone to send to etc.
e.g.

The message would use substitution commands. Here is an example:
Hi <substitute:Custom1>, we have received your <substitute:Custom2> for <substitute:Custom3> and applied it to your account <substitute:Custom4>
Once sent, within a few minutes you will receive an e-mail back stating that the TXT message has been sent.
An example of the TXT messages above that would have been sent are as follows:
Hi John, we have received your payment for $45.78 and applied it to your account #45651
Hi Rebecca, we have received your receipt for $89.93 and applied it to your account #91276
